Why dine here
Joy Curry & Tandoor now operates from West 46th Street after closing its former 39th Street branch. The compact Hell’s Kitchen restaurant is structured around the two techniques in its name: sauced dishes developed on the stove and meat or bread cooked against the high heat of a tandoor.
What to expect
Lamb vindaloo balances chile and vinegar around tender meat, while chicken tikka masala places roasted chicken in a creamy tomato gravy. Tandoori chicken takes its color and smoky edges from a spiced yogurt marinade; naan enters the same clay oven and emerges blistered, chewy and ready for curry.
Before you go
Biryani, lentils, saag, paneer and vegetable curries broaden the selection without diluting its direct neighborhood character. The official site still supports online ordering from the 46th Street store and explicitly distinguishes it from the closed 39th Street location, resolving an important identity issue in the older record.
