Religious holiday dates move and are confirmed officially, so never build a fixed annual itinerary around an undated calendar.

Uzbekistan applies visa-free access to many nationalities and operates an official electronic-visa portal for eligible travelers, but the permitted stay and documentation are nationality-specific. GCC residents should check using the passport they will travel on rather than assuming that UAE or Saudi residency determines eligibility. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also lists tourist, group-tourist and pilgrimage visa categories. A passport should remain valid for the trip and match every booking exactly.
April to May and September to October are generally the easiest periods for long heritage walks between Registan, Bibi-Khanym and Shah-i-Zinda.
