Rockefeller Center’s shops occupy street-level storefronts and an underground concourse across the landmark complex between Fifth and Sixth avenues. The original record’s 75 Rockefeller Plaza label described only one building; the corrected title reflects the wider official retail directory visitors actually encounter.
The mix includes designer fashion, jewellery, beauty, books, toys, New York gifts and specialty food, with tenants distributed among several numbered buildings. Channel Gardens, the skating rink plaza and the Prometheus statue provide orientation as entrances open from different streets and interior passages.
The concourse links shops with restaurants and the 47–50 Streets–Rockefeller Center subway station, making it useful in poor weather. At street level, seasonal flags, installations and holiday displays alter the public setting, while the official directory records the precise building and level for each business.
